Handmade by wool textile artisans in the highlands of Guatemala, Telma and Luis (and their entire family) are involved in every part of the process: shearing the sheep, hand-washing the wool, making natural dyes to colour the yarn, and spinning the wool onto cones. The blankets are then woven on a traditional wooden pedal loom which takes several days, then an entire day is spent washing and brushing by hand. This method helps the wool to become extremely soft to the touch, and much less itchy and scratchy. Absolutely no toxic chemicals are used in the process.

This is a "forever blanket." The weave is tight and dense, an unmistakably high-quality artisan textile that will last a life time.   

Our wool blankets are carefully handwoven on pedal looms, then hand brushed for a time-worn, super soft feel. Responsibly made in a fair trade environment by our artisan partners in Guatemala - a small family team of talented artisans and entrepreneurs. We work closely (and in person) to ensure the craftsmanship is responsible and of the highest possible quality.

Hand loomed items are made entirely by hand, so slight size variations and imperfections can occur. We celebrate the fact that each and every piece is entirely unique! 

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Stains must be treated immediately. Blot the stain with a soft cloth then apply a tiny amount of mild soap to a clean cloth and dab it on the stain. Apply water to remove the soap. Repeat until the stain is gone.
CAUTIONS: Don't use bleach or stain remover. Professional dry cleaning is recommended.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We send international packages via Canada Post, which doesn't always include time sensitive confirmations or tracking. Shipping times vary based on location, time of year and local post office service. On average, overseas orders should arrive in 2-4 weeks. International packages may be subject to customs, duties or other fees that are calculated by country. The customer is responsible for paying any and all fees. Packages may be delayed by customs - unfortunately we have no control over any circumstances once the shipment has left our studio.

Returns & Exchanges

At Wylde Brigade, we inspect and scrutinize over all products before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our essentials line, used items cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products that are damaged during shipping if we are given photographic proof within 7 days of delivery, less shipping and handling.
